Delighted with your service which was exemplary

I called your office early last week to enquire about a new switch panel for my roller door as the original switch had ceased to operate.

Within minutes of my call I received a call back informing me that a new part was available and it could be posted to my address. I offered to pay for the part but was told that payment was not necessary.

Three days later the part arrived and was fitted. I had made my own enquiries about a replacement part on the internet prior to calling your office and it appeared that I needed to purchase an entire box unit at considerable cost. I am delighted that you were able to supply me with just the switch ribbon and it works fine. I was even more delighted with your service which was exemplary.

While I’m writing this letter it is my opportunity to mention my buying experience from Chalfont Garage Doors Ltd. As previously mentioned I use the internet to research most items I intend to buy and I did this when I wanted to order a new door for my garage. I settled on your company as you were local and came recommended by two friends. Your pricing was fair and the fitters you sent to install the door were good natured and accommodating, which was a blessing as fitting was not straight forward. Overall I was/am completely satisfied with the door. This latest episode with the switch failing was just a ‘wear & tear’ fault which I expected to pay for. Your approach in supplying me with a new switch ribbon at no cost is probably a minor gesture on you part but from my point of view it is a huge customer satisfaction exercise that I hope will reap rewards for you.

I will at every opportunity to promote Chalfont Garage Doors to friends and colleagues.

What a pleasure and surprise in these days of franchises and mobile phone numbers to find a real local business that adheres to the values of customer advice and service. Last Wednesday afternoon after driving my wife’s car into the garage and closing the door I realised I needed to get to the lead for my electric hedge cutter to continue my labours. For the first time since the erection of the garage in 1970, the door, despite all my efforts, refused to open. I sought help via the web and found your easily understood website. I was reassured by seeing an address and landline telephone number, though mobiles were also included as further contact points. I spoke to Gabriel, who was genuinely apologetic that he could not get someone to us that late afternoon, and arranged for a service call the next morning at 10am.

Stephen arrived punctually, examined the door operation and without any sales pressure, provided me with a factual report on the state of the door mechanism and a range of options from replacing the defective components while retaining the current door, through to full door replacement for cost comparison. I opted for repair and this was carried out immediately and by midday the problem was resolved. A week has passed and the door operates efficiently and gives us confidence that it will continue to do so for many years to come.

Thank you both for your professionalism, it is a pleasure to experience service as it should be provided.

A quick note to say "thank you".

Your fitter, Steve, carried out a service and repair on our electric garage door today, and did a superb job. The door is probably more than 20 years old, and has not been properly serviced for a number of years. Accordingly it needed some remedial work, including strengthening the mounting points on the door frame, and fitting a new release mechanism.

Steve carried out the task in a quick and efficient manner. I could not be happier with the service you have provided, and will be using Chalfont again.
